George Clooney caught naked masturbating in the middle of the street

Several Americans have sought to mobilize the world against violations of human rights in Africa, but have suffered some consequences. First, it was George Clooney succumbing to the pressure of the huge success of his video "Kony 2012". The famous actor was taken to a psychiatric institution after being caught naked masturbating in public. Now, Jason Russell was detained by the police after invading the Sudan Embassy in Washington DC. There are so many of these initiatives, we hope we don’t get confused and mix up the names of its protagonists. We wonder if William Bliss plans some intervention in African politics.

End of the Encyclopaedia Britannica destroys pleasant moments of relaxation

After been printed for 244 years, the Encyclopaedia Britannica will exist only online, which will reduce significantly our research options. Before, every time we wanted to make some research, we had two choices: one was to get up, get into our slippers and dress our robe, go down the stairs, make tea, open the library door, turn on the lights, fill the pipe, light it and look in the 32 volumes of the Encyclopedia. The other was to look instantly at Wikipedia. Besides, what will people who planned to spend $ 1,395 to purchase the encyclopedia do now? Unfortunately, it will be available online for free for a week, starting on some Tuesday that no one says which one will be.

Messi scores 5 goals in one single Champions League match

He is said to be the best soccer player today and one of the best of all time. Now, he scored 5 goals in one single match of the Champions League, something no player had done before. This Argentine man is the biggest star of one of the most amazing teams in history: the current team of FC Barcelona. The unquestionable talent of Lionel Messi is like many others: the most brilliant in one day, inexplicably missing in others. This alone consoles us for the lack of inspiration today: every attempt was made to draw him was a clumsy shot. You deserve your money back today, dear reader!

Lady Gaga hits 20 million followers on Twitter

Artists are particularly emotional people and they can express what the majority cannot. So people see themselves in them and become their admirers: by expressing their admiration they are after all thanking someone that says what they wanted to be said or do what they wanted to be done, thus becoming an inspiration and a role model, a flesh and blood alter ego. Now we realize the rampant eccentricity and confusion in 20 million heads, which – looking at the damage caused everyday by the heads of those who think they know everything – seems definitely good news. Congratulations, little monsters!

Usain Bolt loses race to Prince Harry

While visiting the Caribbean, Prince Harry found the fastest man alive, the Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt, who is also the Olympic champion and world record holder for speed races. Harry had been drinking in Belize and in the Bahamas, but still managed to easily beat Bolt, who was very displeased with the astonishing defeat. The Jamaican accused the prince of cheating and asked for a rematch this year in London during the Olympics, but Harry cowardly said he would be busy – a very unsportive attitude. If this is how the British royalties plan to celebrate the 60 years jubilee of queen Elizabeth II, they will only make enemies throughout the world.

The world's most boring journal

The Journal of Negative Results in BioMedicine only gives negative news, publishing results of experiments that result in nothing. By reading this paper, we'll know that certain causes don’t have certain effects, unlike what usually happens, which is being told the effects certain causes have. This publication makes sense and seems quite interesting. We particularly want to know all the crap we eat and all the mess we do that don’t make us harm, because we're all sick of the positive news that regular journals give us all the time.

French triumph in Hollywood

'The Artist' was the big winner at the Oscars this year. A film in black and white, silent, which is said also to be invisible, since no one can see it, and probably wouldn’t have won anything if it were spoken and colored. Still, there is the tribute that the director Michel Hazanavicius rendered the old movies, something they did not deserve since no filmmaker from the 20s ever made a film in color to pay homage to the cinema of the present century. In the same line, we know the Nobel Prizes this year are likely to reward scientists who have the originality to discover what has already been discovered.
